Rarearth Jazz and Blues Fest is a family musical event with an environmental mandate on beautiful lush grass in the heart of the Okanagan Valley - Silver Star Mountain Resort near Vernon, BC. The Dragon Boat Festival is a Chinese Cultural event. It's a boat race where the boats are shaped like dragons. Paddlers and spectators of all ages enjoy the festival and live music is played throughout the weekend.

Diversity Health Fair will provide the opportunity to discover health services and programs to promote Cancer prevention and early detection. There will be healthy living food demonstrations, interactive activities and health screenings as well as an opening ceremony. Dr. Art Hister, GlobalTV's Daily Health Anaylst, will be the keynote speaker. The health fair will begin at 9:30am-3:00pm at the Vernon Recreation Centre. Admission free.
